Hamilton Clancy (Director) Directed for TDC - most recently Y'all, Swallow and Smile, The Coat, The Snake & the Bird, and Body Work (all from evening entitled Both). Hamilton founded TheDrillingCompany in 1999 and as producing/artistic director has been responsible for In the Car at the Westbank and at 78th Street Theatre Lab, Neighbors, While You Wait, Fathers, Connections, Service, Theft, and most recently, Peace Is Our Choice. As an actor, he has been seen Off-Broadway and regionally at The American Place Theatre, The Workhouse, The Fulton Opera, The Vineyard Playhouse, The Public Theatre and others. He is artistic advisor to two new companies, Panties Optional Productions and Shakespeare-in-the Wild; co-producer of the award-winning film, Life's Calling; and a practicing teaching artist with Theatre for a New Audiences. Shoshana Gold (Director) Directing for TDC - Circus Berzerkus (from Security). Before coming to New York, Shana lived in Austin where she worked with the Rude Mechs, Salvage Vanguard, Frontera @ Hyde Park Theatre, and the State, and she was the director in residence for Austin Script Works where she directed a veritable plethora of readings and workshops. Her production of John Walch's play, Circumference of a Squirrel won the Austin Critics Table Award for Best Production of a Comedy, and she received the award for Best Director for her work on Seven Deadly Sins--a world premiere series of short plays by Lisa D'amour, Sherry Kramer, and Naomi Iizuka, et al. Shoshana came to NYC to pursue her MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College where she was the recipient of the Buchwald Fellowship for Directing. She is a member of the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab and the Directors Lab at the Lincoln Center where she is a teaching artist. She is also a mentor for the NYU-Playwrights Horizons School of Directing. In New York, Shana directed Stu and Ray by Jerome Fellow, Trista Baldwin for New Georges, B. Walker Sampson's Roosevelt Island for HERE Arts Center, Fragments by Princess Grace Award-winner, Rogelio Martinez for Lincoln Theatre Center's Summer Lab, the NYC premiere of Eliza Anderson's The Water Principle at The West End Theatre, Immi by Lameece Issaq at The Barrow Group, and Circus Berzerkus by Paul Siefkin for The Drilling Co.--as well as readings and workshops for Manhattan Theatre Club, Urban Stages, The Flea Theater, and Soho Rep. Her production of Mercy by Janelle Schremmer will open in October (2006) at NYCenter Stage. |

Tom Herman (Director) Directing for TDC - 100 Years War (from Security). Tom Herman's direction has been a staple of New York City's Theatre Row, Resident and Off-Off Broadway theatres for a decade. His just-ended revival of Sam Shepard's Buried Child at The Michael Chekhov Theatre was acclaimed by The New York Times as "exciting powerful, a tragic opera." Other recent credits include his critically applauded and popular productions of Kenneth Lonergan's Lobby Hero and Caryl Churchill's Cloud Nine at Brooklyn's Gallery Players. Tom has also directed at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Vital Theatre, The Drilling Company, Pulse Ensemble, Rude Mechanicals, Algonquin Theatre Productions, 29th Street Rep, The Mint Space, Theatre 603, 45th Street Theatre, Daryl Roth 2 and Brooklyn's Gallery Players. In addition to his directing, Tom has served as Literary Manager or script reader for several companies in town; he currently reads scripts for The Public Theater. Tom is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and a graduate of Yale. |
